Holy cow!! The bank is asking $445,000. Their asking price is frankly reasonable but by the time I add in taxes and home ownership costs (aka HOA) its no bargain. Now if the assessed value equaled the asking price it might pencil out. I took a look at that Meriwether unit on line… property taxes are over $11,000 (assessed value is $519,890). Holy cow!! I am curious how this is going to play out in the $225-250 range which supposedly continue to have bidding wars.
