There are currently about 50 bank-owned condos for sale in Portland’s downtown area. But don’t assume you are getting a good deal, just because they are bank-owned. Some condo developments have suffered more than others, and will likely continue to work through issues going forward. This will create ongoing downward pressure on pricing, eroding any gains you thought you had secured by buying bank-owned.
