Inventory of homes for sale in Portland is pretty thin these days. A substantial number of sellers withdraw their listings over the holidays, especially if they still occupy them. If an occupied home remains on the market, this can frequently be an indication that a seller NEEDS to sell…and will be more likely to entertain an aggressive offer. That likelihood increases if the seller has actively been marking down the list price in the preceding months.
