Buyers

There are plenty of homes for sale in Portland, but only a handful in each sub-market that will make sense for you. As your buyer’s agent I make sure you find the right home and don’t end up paying more than you need to. Here’s what I offer :

Market Insight

The housing and credit crisis has affected the Portland’s real estate market in different ways, creating opportunities in some of Portland’s neighborhoods while others lag behind. Understanding these trends and market fundamentals is a key factor in determining where and when it makes sense to buy a home in Portland.

To this end I provide more than just a standard “snapshot”. I publish my analysis of Portland’s real estate market on this site and regularly contribute to Portland State University’s real estate publications. I subscribe to the idea that my most valuable contribution to your most important financial decision is thoughtful analysis…not a sales pitch.

Deals

I use use a systematic approach towards identifying pricing inefficiencies in Portland’s real estate market, enabling my clients to capitalize on unique opportunities. This approach is based on an intimate knowledge of the pricing history for comparable properties – including auctions. For new construction homes in Portland, this knowledge extends to developer concessions.

It also includes an assessment of seller motivation in order to determine the best way to structure the deal and get the most out of it for you.

Risk Management

Rather than trying to cover the entire metro-area, I focus on Portland’s urban core and selected suburban markets. This produces greater depth of knowledge and translates into a better understanding of your options as well as the risks associated with certain neighborhoods and developments.
